JuST – USAID and the European Centre, in strong collaboration with the Law Faculty of University of Tirana, are implementing the project of the Legal Clinic Education Program.

The aim of the program is gaining knowledge through the continuation of the educational process that includes theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills. Thus, the students of the Law Faculty will be engaged in offering free legal advices to the individuals that lack the economic capability to address the court through a private lawyer.

As part of the project, the Civil Department will also organize trainings, similar to those of the Criminal and Public Department.

The first two days of the training will have a theoretical background, in which the presentations will serve to the students relevant information as future lawyers before investing the court.

After the first two days of training, it will be organized the “Moot Court of Civil Department”, where the students willing to participate will respectively serve as Complainants, Respondents or Judges. The trainers, who are also professors of some courses in this department, will not only entitle students to their role, but they will also write a simulated case for the moot court.
