The European Centre organized the Final Conference of the project “Assistance on facing violent extremism and religious radicalization at a domestic level”, which the Centre is implementing in collaboration with Terre des hommes Albania, funded by the EU. The Conference was organized in Tirana, on the 6th of November.
The project’s experts delivered in front of the audience the results gathered from all the activities of the project, including a final report on the findings of the questionnaires. Some of the guests where CSO representatives, who have also been implementing similar projects in collaboration with TDH Albania, who shared with us the challenges they had to face during the project implementation, due to the sensible thematic. Part of the audience were also representatives of state institutions, with whom we discussed about concrete policies that can be implemented in order to fight these phenomena in an institutional way. There were also young people, mostly students, who engaged actively during the conference, sharing their ideas and situations from their day to day life. Part of the panel was also Ms. Jorida Rustemi, Counselor at the Ombudsman, who shared with the audience the Ombudsman’s stand point regarding the phenomena of violent extremism and religious radicalization.
