Fatos Tarifa, PhD is the Rector of the University of New York Tirana. He has a PhD in Sociology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA); Doctoral degree in Political Science-University of Tirana. The Areas of Expertise of Mr. Tarifa are Political Sociology, Social and Cultural Change, Democratic Theory and Democratic Transition, Sociology of Education, Geopolitics, Comparative Foreign Policy etc. He is author, co-author, and editor of 45 books and 100 peered-reviewed journal articles and book chapters.
Prof. Dr. Migena Leskoviku is graduated in Law at University of Tirana. She has a Master in Public Administration (MPA) in University of Tirana & University of Nebraska-USA. She has a PhD in Law. She has been Dean of Law Faculty near EUT and Head of Public Law Department, at Law Faculty in EUT. She has been Director of Legal Services Department at Ministry of Interior etc.
Dritan Shano, MA was graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana in 1992. He has a long experience in high level governance, including the role of the Economic Adviser for the Prime Minister as well as the Deputy Minister of Finance during the years 2002-2005.
Ardjana Shehi-Kalo, MBA is licensed by the Albanian Bar to practice law in Albania and has now a professional experience in business law longer than 20 years. Shehi holds law and MBA degrees and she is a CIPD qualified HR professional. Shehi joined AA+ Partners after having worked for two decades as a lead in-house lawyer for two telecommunications operators and as Senior Partner at Kalo & Associates.
Egi Santo, MSc. is graduated on management at Faculty of Economics – University Zoja e Keshillit te Mire and a master graduated of the University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Milano. Mr. Santo the director of the Evaluation and Performance Department of Credins Bank, and a Board member of the investment fund Credins Invest.
Staff
Ina Xhepa is a lawyer with expertise in Human Rights, Constitutional and European Law. She is the Executive Director at the European Centre since March 2016. She holds a Master of Science in law from the European University of Tirana and a Bachelor degree in Law from the same university. She was a study visitor of the Registry of European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. She is an assistant lecture of Constitutional Law at the University of Tirana. She is a national consultant of UNDP, Justice for All Project/USAID, OSCE, KAS, Civil Rights Defenders etc. Ms. Xhepa is member of the Albanian Bar Association and speaks Albanian, English, Italian and French.
Klara Kodra, LL.M is Project Manager at EC since 2015. She oversees the coordination and administration of the Rule of Law and Human Rights Programs. She has a master of science in Faculty of Social Science in University of Tirana, and graduated in law at the UT. She has conducted numerous training activities as an expert in European Integration and Human Rights. She was an external expert of the OSCE on a project focused in the administrative justice. She also participated in different national and international trainings even in the European Court of Human Rights, with a focus on the amelioration of human rights standards in the Western Balkan.
Krisi Kllapi, MSc is currently working as Project Manager at the European Centre in charge of the Eu Integration and Democracy and Good Governance Programs. She holds a Master’s degree in business law from the European University of Tirana and a Bachelor’s degree in law from the same university. In addition, she completed a Master’s in business administration at the University of Tirana. Ms. Kllapi has a Master in International Law and Economics at the World Trade Institute, which she is attended on a scholarship awarded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs.
Armand Hyseni, LL.M is working as a Project Coordinator. He is member of the Albanian Bar Association. He worked as a lawyer at Lushnje Municipality, was the head of public procurement sector at the Ministry of Economy. He served as a lawyer in 2007-2008 at the joint project ODIHR, Poland & Centre for Legal Civic Initiatives, Tirana. He is a part-time lecturer at the University of Tirana as well. Mr. Hyseni is an Albanian native speaker, is fluent in English and has a strong command in Italian.
Pirro Laska, MA is the European Centre`s Financial Manager since July 2017. He is graduated the Faculty of Economy in Finance in 2011, and holds a Masters Degree in Finance from Vlora University. He has worked as a financial manager in several trade firms. He has also done several researches publications and text books and speaks fluently English and Italian.
Anisa Zhamo is currently working at the European Centre as a Financial Officer. She is an American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) graduate. She holds a double major in Economics and Business Administration as well as a minor in Mathematics. She has pursued her master studies on European Economy at the European University of Tirana. She has extended experience in project development and implementation due to her previous work engagements in well-known organizations such as Societe Generale de Surveillance. Ms. Zhamo has a great command of English, Italian and French language.
